hello guys it's steve it is friday night, may 7, 2021 and this video i'm going to do a, a little rant it's probably not going to, be a long video, probably just a shorter rant, on something really stupid that youtube, some new feature on youtube that's, stupid and pointless, that is youtube shorts, now if you don't know what youtube, shorts is, it's basically you know a video, [Music], you know basically a video that, is recorded under a minute long i think, it's under a minute, and it's recorded vertically like like, this, it's recorded like this not like this, if it's recorded like this then it won't, play in the short version, it'll play the regular way but the video, is recorded, the phone is held like this recorded, vertically, and the video is under a minute so if, the video is, under one minute i think it's under one, minute don't correct me on that, it's somewhere under a minute and, it's recorded like this then the video, will play in a different, format than or than a, any normal video on youtube you know, like videos will play the normal way if, you if it's not, vertically in under a minute if it's, vertically but over a minute, or if it's under a minute in landscape, or whatever, then it won't play in the short version, the shorts format, and uh yeah so if it's, recorded like this held like this, under a minute, [Music], then the video will play in a different, format called youtube shorts, and honestly it's really stupid and, pointless i don't understand the point, of it, i really don't seriously what the hell, is the point, like let me maybe see if i can, maybe show some examples, it's just pointless, i'm just gonna play a random one, well first i'll play a normal video, recorded a normal way i'll play, what video should i play hang on, okay this is the this is a, video that's not a youtube short video, i click it here's the short answer, forgive the pun it plays the normal way, youtube shots right now you can start a, youtube channel, today not have any subscribers or views, as long as the video is made in a, vertical format and it's less than 60, seconds long, and it does not matter what device you, use it does not matter, so you see it's playing the normal way, you know you have the normal, page or whatever you know likes dislikes, there, share download you got the comments, there however, a short video i'm just gonna play a, random short, video, just play this one it'll play in this, format, a much different format and, you can't uh, you know rewind the video or go back to, a certain part, i tapped the video that's what pauses it, and yeah you know, it's different from a regular video, but yeah that's basically what a youtube, shorts are just, a shorter video under a minute recorded, vertically and just played in a, different format, i don't understand the point of that, what is the point of that, seriously why can't i just play the, regular way, if it's a under a minute and recorded, like this which honestly i really don't, like when people record videos like this, i prefer to see the full a fuller, picture or whatever you know i don't, like, seeing black bars on the side just a, skinny video, you know but, seriously what the hell is the point of, youtube shorts and i hate when, i want to watch a video and it's a video, under a minute and, [ __ ] record it vertically up i click, it and it automatically plays in the, shorts format, and i don't i want to play the normal, way so in order to do that i have to go, to the channel that, of the video and go to the video list, and find the video, there in order for it to play the normal, format you know, it's just stupid and i don't know if, this is, this implies for computer i think it's, only mobile devices that it does this, i could be wrong i haven't tried, watching youtube shorts videos on a, computer i don't think but youtube's, shorts are stupid, it's basically just like [ __ ], tick-tock and [ __ ], it's stupid like, facebook you know stories or, instagram whatever the [ __ ] stories i, think i don't [ __ ] know, they're just [ __ ] stupid like come on, youtube why, stop trying to be like [ __ ] tick-tock, and these other [ __ ], social media sites that does this [ __ ], seriously there's no point in youtube, shorts, just play the video than normal every, video whether it's under a minute record, it vertically, play it the normal way the normal format, or whatever, you know what i'm trying to say, yeah basically youtube short's basically, just, like tick-tock video trying to copy, tick-tock, which is a stupid app i don't use, tick-tock, nor do i give a crap to use it i don't, [ __ ] know, i just don't like youtube shorts i like, i just want every video to play a normal, way, not in a different format, seriously youtube what is the point of, shorts, what is the point of it, it's just [ __ ] stupid youtube you're, not, [ __ ] tick-tock you're not [ __ ], other sites like instagram and facebook, facebook stories and, instagram stories you're you're [ __ ], your own site, no i mean you're your own site you know, come on, they're your own site youtube stop, trying to be like, tick-tock and i mean come on, i don't know this is my opinion some of, you may disagree and that's fine, whatever, but you know this is my opinion, i just don't like youtube shorts it's, stupid it's, annoying when the video plays in, that different format in the youtube, short format, i mean why did youtube come up with this, what's susan with jisc, why what's the point of that, and even if you you know yeah you, recorded video vertically in under 60, seconds long, you upload it you know normally the, normal way to youtube it'll still, upload it in a short format instead of a, regular, it's like come on, i don't have any videos that i record i, don't record my videos vertically i, think i have, i used to in the past a long time ago, with one of my old ipods and but the, video wasn't, i don't think any of the videos were, under a minute maybe, but, yeah i don't even record vertically, i mean come on i believe i have a video, i made a couple weeks ago, a screen recorder video of that youtube, glitch i recorded it vertically because, uh i couldn't record landscape, and or else the video would be sideways, or whatever, but that was over a minute so luckily, don't have to deal with that video, playing in youtube shorts, i don't know again this is just my, opinion what are your, opinions on youtube shorts you think, they're stupid and pointless, and youtube just trying to copy, tick-tock, i
