so about a month ago i thought it would, be a great idea to post, a youtube short to my channel every, single day for 30 days and track the, results now stick around to the end of, the video because we're going to be, going over some pretty, insane analytics and youtube data that, were a direct, result of this experiment but first, now with the recent success of tick-tock, it came to my attention that youtube had, really been pushing the channels of, people who had been, uploading consistent shorts which seemed, to be a direct strategy to compete with, platforms such as tick tock, or instagram reels with that very short, form, vertical content now if you don't know, what a youtube short is it's basically, any vertical video that you upload to, your channel that's under 60 seconds, that has in either the description or, the title, hashtag shorts so it's very simple to, upload and, it's something that not a lot of people, are utilizing yet in my opinion so if, you ever scroll through your youtube, homepage you'll see, where it says youtube shorts beta, and you'll get a bunch of options for, vertical videos, from content creators that you're either, subscribed to their channel, or usually watch their videos so being, the curious guy, that i am i said i'm going to post a, shorts video, every single day for 30 days and see, what happens, now honestly in the first 10 to 15 days, i did not see a lot of traction there, was a couple videos here or there that, got a little bit over 100 views which is, kind of average for my channel and a lot, of videos that only got about, 30 views each so it was kind of, underwhelming at first to say the least, but i had made, a commitment to this 30 day challenge, and about, day 20 i really started to see some, growth i don't know if it's because, youtube, saw how many days in a row i had posted, and started recommending it to, more and more people but around the 20th, day i started getting, six 700 views per video overnight and it, wasn't just like, one of them hit it was like once that, one hit pretty much every video i was, posting after that, was getting at least 500 views now there, was a couple in there that i kind of, rushed, and kind of didn't hit but for the, majority after that first one hit, the rest of my videos were kind of, blowing up overnight and when i say, blowing up, i mean in terms of my engagement and my, channel's reach it got to a point where, i was doing over a thousand, views a day consistently day after day, compared to my usual, 200 which was an insane amount of growth, for my channel, now not only did the consistent posting, help my overall channel views, but it helped with my subscription rate, as well i think, roughly in the 30 days that i was, posting a youtube short i gained 100 new, subscribers, which was about 20 22 of my, entire subscriber base at that point so, that is a huge jump in 30 days, considering i've been uploading youtube, videos consistently for about a year and, a half and have never seen, that much growth up until this point now, i definitely think that consistent, posting, is helpful but don't just post every day, to say you did it i know i did, but it was for experimental purposes so, you guys don't have to i would say, always keep quality over quantity, but strive for consistent quantity the, only, real downside i saw to posting every, single day was i think some of my, original subscribers were starting to, get a bit, annoyed seeing my channel pop up in, their subscription feed, every single day with these really short, videos that they might not have really, been interested to which is why i think, i noticed some really low, numbers in the first 10 to 15 days but, as you already know, they did end up picking up so overall i, think it was worth it also my first, real video that wasn't a short after, those 30 days, performed very poorly now it could have, just been a misfire on the video, but i think it did something like 30 or, 40 views, which is not good at all even by my, standards, so i think some people just got sort of, numb to seeing me post and by the end of, that 30 days when i posted a real, full-length video, they kind of were just desensitized and, thought eh i don't really need to watch, this, but i have posted a few times since then, and those numbers are starting to come, back up now before i'm done i do want to, look at some actual chart data from my, youtube analytics because i think it's, super interesting from january, 27th to february 27th which is when i, posted, every single day i gained 105 new, subscribers, 10 and a half thousand overall channel, views, and finally 63.3 000, overall impressions which is absolutely, unimaginable to me before i try this 30, day posting challenge, now with
